The Wheatlands Dash - 97 km


Ready to test yourself on one of the Durbie Dash's premier road cycling events? The Wheatlands Dash is a challenging 97 km ride that combines fast, flowing roads with rewarding climbs through the beautiful Durbanville countryside. With 1,033 metres of elevation gain, this route is designed for cyclists looking to push their limits while enjoying some of the Western Cape's most scenic riding.
As an official seeding event for the 2027 Cape Town Cycle Tour, the Wheatlands Dash offers the perfect opportunity to earn a strong seeding while sharpening your fitness ahead of South Africa's biggest cycling event. Whether you're chasing a personal best, riding with your club, or preparing for the season ahead, this event delivers an exciting and rewarding challenge.
The route features a mix of rolling terrain, sustained climbs, and fast descents that will keep you engaged from the start line to the finish. With professional route support, well-stocked water stations, and an enthusiastic event atmosphere, you'll have everything you need to focus on the ride.

The Winelands Meander - Road 46 km


Looking for the perfect road cycling event in Durbanville that combines beautiful scenery with an achievable challenge? The Winelands Meander is a rewarding 46 km road race designed for recreational cyclists, weekend warriors, families, and riders looking to build confidence over a medium-distance course.
With 387 metres of elevation gain, the route winds through the picturesque roads of the Durbanville Wine Valley, offering a fantastic mix of gentle climbs, flowing descents, and quiet country roads. It's long enough to test your endurance while remaining accessible for riders of varying fitness levels, making it one of the most enjoyable road cycling events in the Western Cape.
Whether you're taking part in your first organised road race, riding with friends, or using the event as part of your training calendar, the Winelands Meander delivers a relaxed yet rewarding cycling experience in one of Cape Town's most scenic regions.
The event is also E-Bike friendly, making it accessible to even more cyclists who want to experience the beauty of the Durbie Dash.
More Information
Road Events will start on the Durbanville High School grounds in Langenhoven Street, Durbanville. Both the 97km and 46km distances are Cycling SA sanctioned events. E-bikes are allowed as a separate starting group in the 97km and 46km events.
Please note that all Road event entries are managed by the Golazo. The timing and results will be managed through Finish Time. The Road events are sanctioned by Cycling South Africa and participants who are not a member of Cycling SA will be required to purchase a day license. Riders are to use the Permanent Bike boards (supplied to all CTCTT riders in 2024) or alternatively purchase a new one at a cost of R150-00 per board
