The MTB event portfolio presents 3 exciting events to the MTB enthusiast, with all of them Cycling SA sanctioned events. E-bikes are allowed in the 27km and 50km events and will have their own separate starting groups.

The Fair Cape Chain Breaker - 60 km


If you're looking for one of the toughest mountain biking events in Durbanville, the Fair Cape Chain Breaker is the ultimate test of endurance, skill, and determination.

The Diemersdal Muscle Jammer - 50 km

The Bloemendal Rock Buster - 27 km

These events all start from the Durbanville High School grounds in Langenhoven Street, Durbanville. ​

Please note that all mountain bike event entries are managed by Golazo. Any MTB event participant who are not a member of Cycling SA will be required to purchase a day license.
Timing is managed by Finish Time and the permanent Racetec MTB board will be used. Please note that the timing Chip is embedded in your permanent RaceTec MTB Board. If you already own a Permanent RaceTec MTB Board, please remember to bring your MTB board to the event. Lost or new boards are available at R140 each
​
You will be issued a Durbie Dash event sticker at Registration which you will need to apply across the top of the MTB Board over the RaceTec Logo. You will also receive a Seeding sticker that will match the start group you have been seeded in. The seeding sticker needs to be applied in the bottom right corner in the provided square area that says “Seeding”. Please note that you will not be able to start the event without your RaceTec MTB Board.
